[Equest-users] System crash when attempting to add energy recovery

I am assuming that you are in the detailed edit mode. I would try to add
the energy recovery in the .inp file. If you don't have a different
project that you can copy the energy recovery from, create a new project
in the wizard and add energy recovery to the HVAC system and copy and
paste from that .inp file. Once you copy the energy recovery to the
system, you should be able to open eQUEST and make any necessary
changes.

I have had eQUEST lock on me in the past (especially on version 3.64)
with no explanation but this process has worked.

Subject: [Equest-users] System crash when attempting to add energy
recovery

All, I am attempting to add energy recovery (heat pipe) to my system,
which is VAV reheat, one system per site. The file locks up. Before I
attempted to add this, the building was compiling just fine, but I had
attempted to run the baseline and it had given me an error that the
cooling coil leaving temperature needed to be 6 F higher than entering
water temp. I had tried lowering the entering chw temp, but it still
wasn't converging. So I was attempting to add energy recovery (which
the system will have, though I was trying not to add it in the baseline
to simulate App G baseline). The system is high percent outdoor air
(0.81). Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing the file
to lock when trying to add the ER? Thanks.

Maria
