Bryan,

After running the simulation, click Tools, View Simulation Output, and then Hourly Results. You will see the electrical end use break down hourly in Excel. If that's all you want to see, there is no need to define hourly reports for other variables, such as cooling load which you might want to covert to tons and see how kW/ton varies. When you say cooling energy demand, I don't know if you mean electrical demand or cooling load in Btuh.

For something like cooling load in Btuh, you'll need to get into detailed edit mode to create hourly reports for what you want to extract. Under Project & Site at the top of the screen, double click hourly reports, then new block, Variable Type, and check the Hourly Series Results you want to export to the hourly report. It may take a little playing around with to get it right, but it's possible to create hourly reports on variables that are useful for graphing in Excel or diagnostic purposes when you get funny results.

My best,

Mike Busman

Subject: [Equest-users] Obtain Hourly Building Cooling Energy Demand and Cooling Equipment Performance

Hello, I am analyzing a multistory office building with two 120 ton reciprocating chillers and electric resistance heating. I'm hoping to analyze hourly building cooling energy demand and chiller electricity consumption but I have not found a report that provides this level of information. Does anyone know how to extract this information? I wasn't able to find this information in the archives, but I may not have conducted a search using the right terminology. Thanks.
