[Equest-users] use for residential

I modeled my own home (not quite like Mike's.) and got accurate results very
close to actual.

I simply identified the spaces, input actual utility rates, building
geometry, schedules, HVAC systems, and the rest.

The model did use HVAC system per zones, as was the real case.

I did start with the residential defaults to get schedules, process lists,
and laundry, etc.

That is a coincident. I used it to model a house with 23 fan coils and a 40
ton air cooled chiller. Oh yes, I did say house.

Hi Brain:

I have personally created a house with eQuest and performed about 20 EEMs on
it (various window, wall types, roof R values, unit efficiency). My key is
to only model it as one zone, unless you have a ritzy house that has 2 AC
zones.

Do you bills to match so you are getting a good fit?

Is eQUEST an acceptable program for analyzing single family residential?
I'm assuming you can show it as multifamily, low-rise exterior entrance.
Thank you in advance.
