Dear All,
In a fairly complex model of a tall building, we have come accross the
following situations: Zones in the basement floor and also first 10 or
so above ground zones experience excessive zone temperature increases
starting from Jan 1, reaching temperatures that eQuest can no longer
display in the report (please see attached hourly reports). We tried two
different cases where the zones were CONDITIONED or UNCONDITIONED, and
in both cases the temperatures spiral out of control.
Related or unrelated to this, the cooling and heating energy consumption
suddenly disappear from April and onwards. Again you can see this in the
chart in the attached file.
Thank you for any help,
Omer Moltay, LEED AP BD+C, ASHRAE BEMP, ASHRAE CPMP, BREEAM Assessor
