[TRNSYS-users] Type 47

Hey,
I'm wondering if the type 47 model for lead acid batteries also can be 
used for lead gel batteries. After all I know the only difference is 
that their electrolyte is the same lead acid which is transformed into a 
gel by adding silica. My question is: can their charge/discharge 
behavior be modeled with the given equations by Shepherd and Hyman?
