Dear TRNSYS experts,
I am trying to represent radiant heat reflective insulation such as
alumimium foil for roofs (
http://supreme.co.in/protectivepack/insureflector-underdeck-insulation.html)
in TRNBUILD.
This kind of insulation has a low absorptance and low emittance and, thus,
reduces radiant heat transfer. It is combined with an airspace. My roof
layer are as followed (inside to outside):
Option 1:
1. 1/2" flattened bamboo on rafters
2. Radiative aluminium foil on 2" Styrofoam
3. 2" air layer (ventilated)
4. CGI roof on timber structure
Option 2:
1. 1/2" flattened bamboo on rafters
2. Radiative aluminium foil/sheet
3. 2" air layer (ventilated)
4. CGI roof on timber structure
However, I cannot put absorptance and emittance for each layer. So, I am
not sure how I can represent this material in TRNBUILD?
Could you, please, give me any advice? Thanks a lot.
Warm regards,
Susanne
