Anand,
  Yes, you can split the living room floor into two floors. If you are 
constructing the building in Trnsys3D simply draw a line down the middle 
of the living room and you will end up with two floor surfaces in the 
zone when you look at it in TRNBuild.

  I might point out as a side note, however, that this kind of issue 
happens all the time in buildings with radiant floors and that the 
solution is to simply put additional radiant floor piping loops into the 
larger zones and to valve the hydronic system so that the radiant floor 
in the larger zone gets more water flow than the others when it is 
calling for heating. The only reason (in my mind) to split the active 
floor into two parts in TRNBuild is if you want to be able to control 
those parts separately (i.e. send water flow to one half of the living 
room but not to the other half).
