[BLDG-SIM] Methods for cool roof calculations

Hi, everyone,

I am now developing a cool roof calculation tool for a utility company. The tool should account for the impacts of roof R-value, reflectivity, infrared emissivity, local weather, and building type, etc. It should be able to calculate both peak demand and energy consumption introduced by roofs. The calculation procedure should be a simplified one so that it can be developed on an MS Excel basis.

I have reviewed some methods, but they have some limitations: only provide peak demand or energy consumption calculations, not including the impact of infrared emissivity, etc. I am wondering if any of you can give me some suggestions on the selection of a suitable manual method for cool roof calculations.
