Try contacting Carnegie-Melon University's College of Architecture.
Their graduate studies program has installed a working solar chiller
system (using Broad as the absorption unit). They used TRANSYS to model
the system. Perhaps they have a graduate student who can help you out.

Ask the suppliers. If they can't back it up then do you really want to
use their products? In Australia we have come across two suppliers
Energy Conservation Systems (ECS) who can provide a tracking parabolic
collctor system linked to BROAD absorption chillers and Conergy who at
the time had a high effciiency flat plate collector system. The
collection potential will vary significantly depending on collector
type.

Graham

	Hello All,

A project is considering solar absorption chillers system for
its cooling and heating sources.

	QUESTION:

For simulating solar absorption chiller in eQUEST, it was
recommended to model it with gas absorption chillers and track the hours
that it is heating during the day. Solar contribution must be calculated
by "hand" as it cannot be done in DOE-2. Subsequently, savings from
solar is estimating by taking into account local weather conditions.

Can someone elaborate the detail method of this calculation by
hand?

Any information you can share is greatly appreciated.

	Sincerely
