All:

Forwarding a message to the list-serve.... The Sim-EB software is distributed free-of-charge.

(Note: If you don't currently include Sim-EB as a simulation weapon in your arsenal, you might consider giving it a look. For working with existing buildings that have operational data, Sim-EB contains a wicked powerful module for digesting user-defined generic high resolution metered data and performing cluster analysis against it. The results is a suggested patchwork of 24-hour schedule definitions representing the data, which can then be transformed into realistic, representative data-driven schedules for 8760 model input. This is only one of Sim-EB's many innovative features, and it does include documentation.)

All the Best,

_Chris

To SIMEB users,

· A new applet generating SIMEB weather file from any location is now available at the Weather data section of SIMEB website (https:\\www.simeb.ca<https://www.simeb.ca/>). The applet builds a SIMEB weather file from a DOE-2 or EnergyPlus weather file uploaded by the user from Weather file conversion tab. The SIMEB weather file (*.swdf) is a zipped file containing the DOE-2 (*.bin) and EnergyPlus (*.epw) weather file and also the heating/cooling design conditions information. EnergyPlus weather file of more than 2000 locations is available at this link : http://apps1.eere.energy.gov/buildings/energyplus/cfm/weather_data.cfm

· At the Download section of the SIMEB web site, English versions of methodological guide and Tutorials have been added.

· Redirection rule of the web site have been modified recently. It is now imperative to enter entirely https:\\www.simeb.ca<https://www.simeb.ca/> to access it, without forgetting https.

· A new version of SIMEB is planned for spring 2013. Among improvements, EnergyPlus engine migration from 5.0 to 7.2 and the addition of a module to facilitate the results comparison between building alternatives. Stay aware of the outcome.
