Arno,

There are several factors interacting under your desired control 
strategy.  You are deploying your interior blind only when beam + 
diffuse solar incident on the window is > 180 W/m2.  You should output 
this variable so that you can assure that your blind is being properly 
deployed.  Also, the BlockBeamSolar control uses the input data in the 
Material:WindowBlind object, which you have not included in your email 
message.  The Material:WindowBlind construction must be complete and 
accurate enough for EnergyPlus to determine the appropriate slat angle 
to block beam when the blind is deployed.
