[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: Building Meets Design Day But Not Weather File?

Problem Solved.

It seems that this problem is caused by the fact that the design day
(7/21) for the south zones does not have the same sun exposure to the
zones as any day in the shoulder months. In fact, it is far less.
Therefore, when the building is exposed to the high solar heat gain
on the south zones during September and October, the HVAC system
cannot maintain temperature for these zones. I have solved this
problem by adding a second summer design day with a different date
(10/31) that has a higher solar heat gain for the south zones. This
seemed to do the trick. Now the south zones operate between the
setpoints.
