[EnergyPlus_Support] Question about solar gains.

Dear all:
I have a question about Solar Exterior Surface
Incident output variable. Units in which E+ reports
this are [W/m2]; if dimensions for each surface are
known since the fact that the 4 points in the space
must be defined, why does it report in this way and it
doesn?t do it directly in [W]? Then, total solar
radiation per area unit incident on a surface is the
sum of Surface Ext Solar Incident + Surface Ext Solar
Sky Diffuse Incident? I just want to be sure that I?m
not misunderstanding these output variables?
Thank a lot.
