Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Fan coil system problems

Please read the definition of "Zone/Sys Sensible Heating (cooling)" in the
Input Output Reference. It is the net heating/cooling provided to the space by
the fan coil system. The fan coil fan runs continuously whenever the fan coil
availability schedule is >0. If the fan coil unit provides outside air, then
then the net result of outside air plus fan heat will be reported as Zone/Sys
Sensible Heating (cooling) even if the coils are off.

If you require cycling fan operation, use the UNIT VENTILATOR.

The fan coil heating and cooling coil loads include the impact of outside air
and fan heat. If you want the simple heating and cooling loads for the zone
only (without OA loads), use COMPACT HVAC:ZONE:PURCHASED AIR.
