Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Partial building simulation and partial buried walls

For no heat transfer through the walls, you want adiabatic
surfaces. You get those by telling EnergyPlus that the Outside
environment is the wall you are using.

That is:
   Surface:HeatTransfer,
Zn003:Wall004, !- User Supplied Surface Name
     Wall, !- Surface Type
PARTITION06, !- Construction Name of the Surface
     NORTH ZONE, !- InsideFaceEnvironment
     OtherZoneSurface, !- OutsideFaceEnvironment
     Zn003:Wall004, !- OutsideFaceEnvironment Object

To represent other spaces that are unconditioned can be a bit
tricky. If they are the same as outside conditions, you could call
it ExteriorEnvironment but give the surfaces No Sun or Wind exposure.

Or you can look at the Other Side Coefficients use -- with that you
can set a temperature profile (or other conditions) for those
surfaces. It's a little tricky and not, obviously, as accurate as
modeling the other zones but should do.
