[Equest-users] BEMP Exam

Hi Kristy & Omer,

I also had the same experience as Kristy when I took the BEMP exam.
Anything that I studied from the ASHRAE handbooks, or otherwise, turned
out to be non-applicable. What proved to be supportive of my passing the
BEMP exam was my direct experience as an energy modeler and the many years
of training and learning from continuous experience of
applying guidelines and creating energy models.

The exam itself was applied pressure under the time constraint to complete
the exam questions and the additional 15 questions that were not being
scored to the passing of the exam. These additional questions were noted
as "test questions". In my experience this exam is a very good measure of
those who are experienced with building successful and accurate energy
models against those who lack enough experience with energy modeling for
building design projects.

If you can build successful energy models for design or compliance purposes
then you should have no problems passing this exam.

Good luck on your exam!

Pasha
