Yes, it will be transferred successfully. But it's a one way process. The minute you move to detailed mode and make changes there, you can't come back to wizard mode and expect those changes reflected in there. I would say, if you have limited experience & your project can be taken care of by wizard mode (atleast most of items), try accomplishing it there and then move to DD mode for necessary changes.

I am an engineering student working on an energy simulation project using eQUEST. I am wondering when switching from wizard data edit mode to detailed data edit mode, will all information entered be successfully transferred.

I am switching modes for the purpose of producing hourly reports.
