[BLDG-SIM] Energy modeling of an ice ring

Hello:
One can force DOE-2 into thinking there's a "cold" zone sandwiched in
between two
zones, with a bit of tinkering with UA's to counteract minimum zone temps.
That's what we did in the following paper:
Haberl, J., Claridge, D. 1985. "Retrofit Energy Studies of a Recreation
Center", ASHRAE Transactions-Research, Volume 91, Part 2, pp. 1421 - 1433,
(June).
Hopefully, some better methods are now available elsewhere that model
interior conditions, including radiation from the rink to surfaces inside
the
building...

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] Energy modeling of an ice ring
Hi,
I am interested too in modeling ice ring with DOE-2.
Any information regarding ice ring modeling would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kateri
