One analysis that I'd recommend is the PhD thesis by Sylvester 1999 "An analysis of the benefits of photovoltaic-coated glazing on owning and operating costs of high rise comm bldgs", Texas A&M Univ. In it you'll find experimental and simulations that show various effects of the PV in several loactions. One of the results shows that the BIPV saves more on the resultant cooling reductions from the reduced solar load than the electricity that is produced.

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] thermal impact of BIPV
Hi,
I am looking for research on the thermal impact of Building Integrated PVs (BIPV). Any experimental and or simulation data of PV roof integrations and their impact on the energy flow through the building envelope. Has there been any comparison between the BIPVs and regular building component heat flows, including factors such as the insulation level, the reflectance, thermal properties of the PVs as a layer and any shading.
Thanks,
