[BLDG-SIM] double envelope

Dear all,

I am working on a simulation of structure with a dynamic double envelope external wall. This external wall allows outside air to remove heat from the within the double envelope and depending on the inside/ outside conditions rejects it outside or supplies inside. 

Does anyone have any ideas for how to simulate this. Can I use it as a sun-space or separate thermal zones for each side(8" wide)? I am using EnergyPlus but am open to other tools if any help.
