[BLDG-SIM] eQUEST - Cogen for DHW

I am trying to model a Cogeneration system (gas turbine generator) in
eQuest that recovers thermal energy for domestic hot water. I connected
the generator to my domestic hot water loop, and set the tracking mode
to thermal tracking.

I am having 2 problems with this setup. First, when I run the model,
using a cogen system has no effect on the metered electricity
consumption. The gas consumption increased and is going towards meeting
electric demands such as lighting, but the electricity consumption is
not decreasing. In the output files, there is a negative kWh number for
the cogen, but this doesn't seem to be translating to the electricity
meters and utility costs.

Second, I cannot create an equipment control strategy with the Domestic
Hot Water Heater and the Electric Generator. If I create an equipment
control for DHW heating, it only accepts primary domestic hot water
equipment - it does not allow you to sequence an electric generator.

If any has any suggestions, I would appreciate it!

Thank you,

Kendra
