[BLDG-SIM] about pv simulation

Matthew,
There have recently been written some new components for TRNSYS that
deal specifically with BIPV, BIPV/T, and BIPV with an embedded phase change
material. There are many tools available for simulating the electricity
production of PVs but far fewer, in my experience, that can couple the PV
with the building skin or that can look at the effects of a working fluid
used to recuperate thermal energy from PV arrays. If you are interested in
the models that we developed for TRNSYS, you can get some more information
at http://www.trnsys.com by following the "TESS Component Libraries" link
and by looking at the description of the Green Building Library. The PV/PCM
component is not in there yet as we are in the final stages of documenting
and releasing that model.
Cheers,
David
