[bldg-sim] Multi-level zoning in eQuest

I don't know if this is a useful exercise...since Equest's engine - DOE-2 really works best with 5 zones per floor. Unless you're doing something completely different in each zone (I.e. Changing thermostat setpoints, or different sys types) I'm guessing it will have a marginal impact beyond 5 zones per floor. In fact, 2 zone will probably give good results for most buildings (inside, outside). Several papers in the ASHRAE lit have addressed this issue.

Subject: [bldg-sim] Multi-level zoning in eQuest

Does anyone know if it’s possible to create different zoning patterns per floor in the Design Wizard in eQuest? Manually, it can be done in Detailed Data Edit mode, but I know I did it once before in the wizard.

Thanks,
