[BLDG-SIM] Modeling Centralized GSHP in Equest

An additional question with a system like this:  What system type would be attached to this?  The only fan coil system type is a 4 pipe fan coil and since there is no real "HW Loop" setup, I could never get this to work.  Would you choose the Water Loop HP system type with the Heat Source set to Heat Pump and set the EIRs to 1.0?

Hi Folks,


I am attempting to simulate a centralized GSHP using Equest. The plant side
is supposed to be coupled with vertical wells using ground loop HX. The
cooling plant equipment is supposed to be large heat pumps or centrifugal
chillers that reverse operation of evaporator and condenser when switching
from cooling to heating.The airside is fan coil rather than room-level
distributed heat pumps.



#1: According to doe-2.2 dictionary only lake/well loop is allowed to be
attached to large water -cooled HPs and chiller condensers. And WLHP is not
allowed so. Is there any method to model such a GSHP system in Equest?



#2: or can lake/well be used to mimic ground source loops? Any experience or
advice of using this alternative is highly appreciated.
