Oh yes - one of the reasons I'm trying to model the 3 pumps in 3 separate
loops is because we're thinking of dropping one of the pumps out and
re-plumbing due to changes in zoning within the building. So I'm trying to
set up a good base model for this.

Subject: hot water loops and boilers
Hello - this is an elementary question, but I wasn't able to find an answer
in the archives or in the DOE help screens. (Or I'm not finding the answer
I want...)
I'm using Equest and have a system with 2 hot water boilers that are staged.
The system has 3 pumps serving 3 separate zones. What I am trying to do is
set up 3 separate hot water loops connected to the 2 boilers. However, it
appears that I can't have more than one loop per boiler. The boilers are
not set up with a primary/secondary loop (with the boilers having their own
pumps); if I do set up the plant with a primary/secondary loop can I then
attach multiple secondary hot water loops to the primary loop? If so how do
I do this? Or am I missing something really basic here - it seems like
almost every boiler plant I've ever seen has multiple staged boilers and
multiple zones with multiple pumps. It's so common it seems like it must be
(easily) model-able.
Thanks in advance.
