[BLDG-SIM] utility load shape data

Somewhat dated? Jeff is right that ELCAP is rich PNW data and a great
thought, but understand it is 1980s data and may not be readily available
digitally.

A short paper on the subject can be found at

FYI.

Try ASHRAE's 1093 diversity factor toolkit, and add a weather daytyping
preprocessor as defined by Hadley or Bou Saada. Also, you can cross-check
against the somewhat dated ELCAP profiles. The final report for the toolkit
contains 10+ load shapes from Oregon, Washington, Idaho.

Subject: [BLDG-SIM] utility load shape data

I have a client who has electricity utility load shape data for 11 different
climate zones (climate zones, 1-10 and climate zone 13) in California.

They would like to use this information to inform discussion about load shapes
in the Northwest, in particular in climate zones for Oregon, Washington,
western Montana, and Idaho.

Any suggestions about a reasonable way to map, and or adjust data from the
California climate zones, to these other zones?

Thanks

Brian
