How does ASHRAE distinguish between Dry and Humid? I was trying to figure that out a couple weeks ago for an Australian city (Brisbane) and ended up reviewing the TMY data and comparing it (visually) to known Dry / Humid cities. Then I guessed / estimated/ made a visual judgment :).

ASHRAE 2009 Fundamentals list Tripoli, Libya as having 8 HDD 10 C / 4016 CDD 10 C.

So, according to Standard 169-2006, that's Zone 2B (Dry) (3500 < CDD 10 C < 5000).

Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can find the climate zone for Tripoli in Libya?

I tried to find it in Ashrae 90.1 but it does not seem to be in there.

I assumed it would be in climate zone 1, but it could be in climate zone 2.

Thanks.

Kind Regards
