I’m not sure if this is helpful or not, but in Table G3.1 (Modeling Requirements for Calculating Proposed and Baseline Performance), Parts 10 (c) and (d) state the following:

c. Where no heating system exists or no heating system has been specified, the heating system classification shall be assumed to be electric, and the system characteristics shall be identical to the system modeled in the baseline building design.

d. Where no cooling system exists or no cooling system has been specified, the cooling system shall be identical to the system modeled in the baseline building design.

Regards,

Larry

Subject: [Bldg-sim] LEED EAP2 simulation of a building without HVAC system

Dear all,
In a LEED project, generally the design case needs to simulate the energy consumption as the designed HVAC system. However, if HVAC system does not be included in the design, how should I simulate to obtain the EAP2 and EAC1?
The HVAC system is left to the tenants to design and install.
Thanks!
Xing
