Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] looking for documentation in MS word format

Peter,

Sounds like a good idea for most of non-english speaking users. If I can be of any help please let me know!

Hi there,

Just wonder if somewhere it's available.

I'm trying to build a Windows Help file that could search, index and list
TOC of all Energy+ documentation. And there are tools that could let you
start from MS word files, define topics, defitions and links, then compile
them all together. The result would be a .hlp file that anybody can open
with Windows OS. I believe those PDFs on EnergyPlus.gov were built from MS
Word files, but not sure if it goes on the public domain.

I'm just tired of going through those gigantic DOE-2 volumes and my real
objective is to build a context-sensitive help editor that could
automatically popup instructions on objects or fields definitions or systems
info, while you are editing an EnergyPlus input file. And my first step is
to build this Windows Help file.

If I can somehow get this done, I tend to make it free.

Thanks!

Peter
