[EnergyPlus_Support] EnergyPlus Construction documentation question

For constructing a glazing assembly, the documentation
indicates that the following E+ commands can be used
for defining the layers: Material:WindowGlass,
Material:WindowGas and Material:WindowShade.

Questions

1) Can Material:GasMixture be used for a layer?

2) Can Material:WindowGlassAlt be used for a layer?

3) Are there any rules like: two solid glazing
materials cannot be next to each other, two gas
materials cannot be next to each other, and Window
Shading materials must be either on the outside layer
or the inside layer?
