[EnergyPlus_Support] Moisture storage & passive humidity control

I am looking at using EnergyPlus (or another tool) to try and model passive
humidity control using building materials as moisture and thermal flywheels.
Will the E+ moisture model be a valid analysis method for modeling moisture
storage and release by the building envelope?

Most of the rooms are internal zones, with mass walls such that moisture and
thermal effects from adjacent zones will be minimized. I'd like to be able
to look at design days and hopefully at longer term simulations as well. Is
E+ capable of this and the appropriate tool?

Thanks,
