You probably do.  If you use "EP-Launch", for sure you do though you may 
not even realize it.

In short, ReadVarsESO is a small application that takes the output files 
(.eso and .mtr) from EnergyPlus and creates .csv files.

A significantly faster (as in a factor of 22 times faster) version of 
ReadVarsESO.exe for the Wintel platforms has just been uploaded to the 
files area.  It is so fast, that sometimes you think it must have crashed 
but instead has produced the output!
