Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] CONDENSING BOILER: IS IT POSSIBLE?

If you use the higher heating value (HHV) for natural gas, then a condensing
boiler would never have an efficiency greater than 1.0. Here in the USA,
natural gas is purchased based on HHV, so the maximum of 1.0 is appropriate
here. All of the EnergyPlus example files assume HHV.

If you wish to work with lower heating value (LHV), then you can edit the
Energy+.idd file to change the maximum for the theoretical boiler efficiency.
The IDD file should only be edited with caution.
