[EnergyPlus_Support] RE: parametric runs

For real parametric variations I'd suggest to use e+ on a a unixoid 
operating system (like Linux), and create a very simple batch jobs in 
which an *.idf template file is changed for individual parameter 
settings, e.g. via sed, and consecutive runs are performed with 
automatic i/o file name changes.

If more complex changes (like moving the starting point of an 
availability in a schedule) are desired there are numerous preprocessors 
available (cpp, m4; any publicly available interpreter language like 
Python, Perl, ...) that will support such a task with just some 
additional lines of macro code.

Everything is available after about one day's worth of reading without 
any additional costs.
