Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] warm-up time

Yes, EnergyPlus simulates the first day of
each simulation period until it
reaches 'convergence". You will notice this
when, at the beginning of the
				runs, it says 'warming up'.

You can set the maximum number of warmup
days in the Building object
(see pgs. 34 and 37 of 807 in the I-O
reference). You can also see the
number of warmup days used in the
eplusout.eio file (Environment:WarmupDays, X).

	Subject:	[EnergyPlus_Support] warm-up time

				hi:

if am running a simulation of a high mass NV
building between aug 14 - 17 (4 hot days) - shouldn't the building take a
few hours or days to warm up? like indoor and outdoor temperatures starting
out the same on the first day (aug 14), and indoor air temperatures climbing
gradually over the four-day period; finally balancing out? it appears that
the mass starts out as preheated (warmed/cooled). does it use 3-4 warm-up
days before the days that i am looking at are reported?

				thank you.
