EPlusInterface Version 0.004 is available (needs Python2.3 if you use
the source code)
you can pick it up from

What it **can** do

- Edit any idf file
- Does simple error checking on entries you make
- Allows you to select items from other parts of the file. Such as
selecting 
'construction' for a 'surface'
- Allows you to select key values when you have a choice. For
instance Terrain can be 
picked from a choice of ([1] Country [2] Suburbs [3] City [4] Ocean
[5] Urban)
 

What it **cannot** do

- You cannot add new objects. Only edit existing objects in a file.
The next version 
will include this functionality
- 'Save as ..' saves *only* in the default folder
