Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Two questions on surface heat transfer

Dear Sir,

You can divide your wall1l in two halves with the same layers and construction, one facing zone 2 and the other facing zone 3.
Regarding the zone origin problem, I work with E+ in similr and it was OK. E+ will give a warning that some of the zone aren´t in the (0,0,0) but it will simulate properly.

Sincerely,

Alberto Hernandez Neto

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Two questions on surface heat transfer

I had two questons on surface heat transfer.

First, I have a zone plan like below,

  ---------------------
  | |
  | |
  | Zone 1 |
  | |
  | Wall 11 |
  ---------------------
  | wall21 | Wall31 |
  | | |
  | Zone 2 | Zone 3 |
  | | |
  ---------------------
  (0,0,0) (10,0,0) (20,0,0)
       South

The problem is when I tried to specify the "outside face
environment object" of wall 11 at zone1, it should be both wall 21
of zone2 and wall 31 of zone3. How can I input both of them?

Secondly, if I use relative coordinate system, all of zone origins
should be (0,0,0), and then the south exterior wall of zone 3 should
be described as (10,0,0), (20,0,0), (20,0,3) and (20,0,3). Is it
  right?

Thank you in advance and have a nice day!

  Alan
  Sincerely,
