Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: ventlation methods problem
Itamar
You might want to try just adding another air system loop in addition to your current one. This second air loop would not contain any air conditioning systems but just a circulating fan that would bring in outside air and then distribute all this outside air into the corridor. Then you could use the new "Air Distribution System" ADS implemented in the latest Energy Plus release to create a certain leakage between your corridor and classroom and then classroom to the outside. I recommend just looking at how to create an ADS system in the InputOutput Document to see its capabilities and looking at the two example ADS IDF files to see how to implement this feature. HOpe this helps.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] Re: ventlation methods problem
I will try to explain my problem:
I am simulating a simple school model, contains a class and a
corridor next to it. The class HVAC system is simple HeatPump for
heating and cooling.
In order to keep good IAQ in the class, I need to enter some fresh
air into it. In order to save energy, I want the air to enter first
to the corridor, then from the corridor to the class and from the
class outside.
The problem is that neither ventilation nor mixing/cross mixing can
create such an air path.( outside-corridor-class-outside)
I need to find the way to create this air path WITHOUT changing my
HVAC system.
I CAN add some fans or venting machines between the class and the
corridor.
Thanks for being patient.
