RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] Problem:Drawing file
As I understand it, the only way to make > 4 sided polygons show as 3-D
faces in DXF output is to triangulate them first.
I find the thicker line which EnergyPlus is using at the moment for > 4
sided polygons confusing as it extends beyond the area of the actual
polygon. Ideally future versions should first triangulate > 4 sided
polygons and display as 3-D faces, but if this is not possible I would
prefer such polygons (and possibly the whole building) to be displayed as
standard Poly-lines so that at least the surfaces are accurate.

This was addressed a couple of weeks ago (message #3462).
The DXF output has to make a thicker "line" for >4 sided polygons rather
than use a "face" that will show as solid in some views. If anyone can
give me directions on getting a >4 sided polygon to show as a face -- I
will implement.
