There is a displacement model-- see the description
beginning on page 194 of the Input Output Reference
(page 224 of the PDF) for UCSD Displacement Ventilation Model.
It is based on experimental results.

Is EnergyPlus suitable to model art galleries using displacement units?
Given that a high degree of accuracy is required how reliable would the
results be ?
