[EnergyPlus_Support] Design Day Definitions Update
As someone noted earlier this week, the macro datasets (and the design day
definitions from weather files where they have ASHRAE counterparts) had 0.0
windspeed for the summer conditions. Changing this is not so simple as it
might seem and, in fact, you need to be aware of what you are using vs the
traditional values.
We have updated the macro data set design day definitions (taken from
ASHRAE tables) to have the wind speed values (99.6% - heating, 1% cooling)
in the design day objects.
But you should be aware that traditional values for these are 6.7056 m/s
(15 mph) for heating and 3.3528 m/s (7mph) for cooling. This is also shown
in the comments for the wind speed values. Also added were the noted
extreme temperatures from the ASHRAE tables as well as the extreme wind
speeds -- in comments, of course.

condition wind speeds for both heating and cooling as well as showing the
traditional defaults.

defaults.

Once you have copied your locations you may prefer to replace the condition
values with the more traditional values at your option.
