[EnergyPlus_Support] Volume of the plant loop

Dear all

What does the volume of the plant loop consider for?
Does it have an influence on the convergency between the plant demand 
side and the plant supply side?
If the plant cannot meet the load, will E+ consider the accumulation of 
the unmet load ?
