[EnergyPlus_Support] Re: zoning without walls

Brent

Now that the HVAC system doesn't not consider the geometric details
of the thermal zone, can I specify the input data of the terminals
in each ficitional zone by atuosizing?
If I want to output the cooling&heating demand of each zone for
comparision, how can I get the specified data for each zone? The
terminal's outuput would be unknown because the HVAC system in E+
can not be implemented in fixed location.
Thank you in advance

fine to not model interior partition walls. In fact, if both sides
of the wall are conditioned spaces (and the walls are relatively
lightweight) then such walls do not even have much effect in the
modeling. Try it both with and without interior walls if you want
to convince yourself.

air moving between zones interact with the interior walls even if
they were present. In the simulation model, the air moves between
zones as if by magic.
