Results wise - none. Though if you enter relative geometry, you have
the option of using a fixed detached shading device (like a mountain)
and a building shading detached shading device (that moves with the
building -- like a hedge).

Yes, the excess roof geometry will shade windows (and walls) of the
other zones as appropriate. There is no need to make them shading
devices as well.
