Charlie,
Before, or rather during. The heat exchanger calculation needs a temperature difference and the UA. This curve gives the exhaust gas temperature to use in calculating the heat exchange.

How are about the absolute exhaust temperature curve?
Does it represent the gas temperature before going through the heat
exchanger or after £¿
