[EnergyPlus_Support] E+ restrictions

Hi everybody,

I'm modelling a building in E+, Ecotect and ESP-r and I need to be sure that I'm using the same inputs in all the 3 cases. So I'm listing differences and restrictions in modelling for the 3 software side by side to see clearly how I am going to build 3 identical models. So I'd very much appreciatte if sb could give a hand with the following questions:

1) Is there any limited number of vertex per zone? (ESP-r for example doesn't allow more than 250 vertex per zone)

2) Is there any limited number of surfaces per zone? (again ESP-r limit is 62 surfaces per zone)

3) Is there any limited number of windows per surface? (ESP-r "prefers" 2 windows per surface at maximum)

4) Is there any limit number of doors per surface?

5) Is ther any number of obstructions or external shading devices per zone or per model?

6) Is there any limited number of zones per model? (In ESP-r this number is limited to 32 zones but it can be recompiled to 50 or more)

7) Can surfaces in middle zones be interpreted as the same as the boundary condition called "similar" in ESP-r?

I thank you very much in advance for your attention and hope hearing from you soon

Best regards,

Clarice
