Re: [EnergyPlus_Support] Curvature in EnergyPlus geometry

Yes, it is possible to represent curvature in EnergyPlus. The key word is
represent. You have to break the curves up into equivalent planar
surfaces, 3 or more vertices. Breaking a circular building into 8 or so
equivalent surfaces is probably enough. DesignBuilder allows you to easily
create arcs for curved facades--and do the EnergyPlus simulations
(www.designbuilder.co.uk).

Hi,
I'm wanting to simulating a tall building which has a large amount of
curvature in its facades....and i was wondering if this is possible to do,
whether it's accurate if it can be done and whether there are any other
case studies that anyone else has done with this sort of geometry?
Thanks heaps for your help and time.
Regards,
