RE: [EnergyPlus_Support] How many condenser loops

Hi Patrik,
For each branch in cooling loop (i.e. for each chiller in parallel branch) you can connect only one condenser loop. So basically how many condenser loops can be connected to a cooling loop depends on how many parallel branches (escluding bypass and passive branches) you have. If you want to simulate a chiller served by two condenser loops running on some control scheme, you can duplicate the chiller into two parallel branches and connect each to a different condenser loop. You then have to use the control scheme to make sure that only one chiller comes on at any time. This could be tricky since the plant loop might not have the control strategy you want to operate for the chiller.

Subject: [EnergyPlus_Support] How many condenser loops

Dear Sankar,

how many condenser loops could I define for one cooling loop in energy
plus?
(The condenser cycles are connected by chillers with one cooling loop)
I ask this, because I need two condenser loops for my simulation, but
I haven't found a similar example in the example files, where two
condenser loops are defined and connected with one cooling loop.

Best regards,

Patrik
