It has not disappeared.  Did you search for it in the documentation?

When I search, I find it in several places including the key for Diagnostics:
DisplayAdvancedReportVariables ? use this to be 
able to use the ?Opaque Surface Inside
Face Conduction? ? the name may be misleading to 
some. If you put in this field, then you
will be able to report on this variable.

The reason that it got moved to "advanced" is 
that people did not read or understand the definition and were misusing it.
