Yes.  Search the documentation for "Window5" for more details on how 
to do this.

There actually is an "offline" facility that I use for storing all 
the messages.  (Also, Yahoo's search is not bad but takes a while to 
get through all the messages).  The offline reader that I use is 
called "PG Offline" (http://www.personalgroupware.com/).  I just 
exported the database and it's 5MB compressed (which I can't upload 
to yahoo groups but could send.  The database is in Access format).
